Billy Ray Cyrus has found the perfect harmony.
The country singer-songwriter and father of popstar Miley Cyrus married Australian singer Firerose on Tuesday. Cyrus, who separated from Miley’s mother Tish Cyrus last year, shared photos from the couple’s nuptials on Instagram Wednesday.
In the photos, Cyrus and Firerose can be seen soaking up their marital bliss in an idyllic field. Cyrus wore a classic, black-and-white tuxedo while Firerose donned a white dress that featured a semi-sheer top embroidered with white floral patterns.
Cyrus and Firerose said in the joint post that their wedding was “the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined.”
“10/10/23 will always be the beautiful, joyous day that our two souls united as one in holy matrimony,” the couple wrote. “For both of us to hear the preacher say, ‘Billy Ray and Firerose Cyrus… I now pronounce you husband and wife,’ that was the sacred moment our new forever began. Long Live Love! ❤️♾️”
The newlywed couple’s chemistry is not just romantic. Cyrus and Firerose have collaborated on various singles, including “New Day,” “Time” and “Plans.”
Released two months before their wedding, “Plans” – penned by iconic songwriter Diane Warren – seemingly foreshadowed the couple’s future with lyrics such as, “Have you got plans for forever / Do you wanna make them with me? / 'Cause I swear there's nothing else I'd rather do than plan the rest of my life with you.”
Cyrus was married to manager and producer Tish Cyrus from 1993 until April 2022 when the couple filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Cyrus and Tish have five children together: Brandi, 36, Trace, 34, Miley, 30, Braison, 29, and Noah, 23. Billy Ray adopted Brandi and Trace, who are Tish's children from a previous relationship.
The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer isn’t the only Cyrus to recently take a trip down the aisle. Tish Cyrus married “Prison Break” actor Dominic Purcell in a small poolside ceremony at daughter Miley’s Malibu home in August.
